Tomah, WI June 2008

Last Saturday we went to Tomah, WI for the Dairyland Super Nationals. I am posting a picture of Bret Berg being interviewed by ESPN after his mis-hap with his tractor. He came home the weekend before with two 2nd place awards and then in Tomah ~ luck was not on his side at all. Bummer, we were cheering for him.
I also have a picture of Mark Mangen, one of Cam's sponsor's kicking butt in the 4 Wheel Drive Class! He got first in both sessions!
The other two pictures are a couple of Cam's favorites.
The old man wearing the T-shirt that says "Crabby Pants" was selling pop and water for a buck less than the concessions stands. We liked his shirt, it reminded of us of something we would buy for Cam's Dad, he would get a kick out of it. There was another guy with a beer belly, he was wearing bib overalls and he had the stomach cut out so he was getting some nice sun burn on the beer belly! Only in Tomah! Peyton stayed with Grandma and Grandpa for the day, she would have loved it but it gets pretty rowdy, so we will wait till next year! They took her to the 50's Car Show and she loved it. We took her back to the show on Sunday and she was fantastic, I couldn't ask for a better child.

Out and About

Ugh... It has been awhile. A week ago Monday, Peyton went to dollar burgers at Brewster's with us. Boy did she love Kevin & Pansi's old Jeep, she was trying with all of her mite to drive that thing. I took a good picture of her with my mom & dad too. Then last Friday we went out for breakfast with my Mom and sister Gina to the Whistle Stop in Frontenac and then we took Peyton to lake Pepin. She loved the kayak but didn't think much of getting her feet wet. We also went to the State Park in Frontenac, what a beautiful view!! I have a ton more to post, but it may have to wait a day or two. I started a new job this week and I just haven't had the time to post as much, since I am actually busy at the new job! For a day or two.....take care. E

Couple more pictures - 40 Year & Swans

Congrats Dad!

Congratulations Dad on 40 years at Bahls Motor & Implement!
Holy Cow - 40 Years! This morning my mom, Peyton & I took Donuts for breakfast and then Gina bought pizza's for lunch. We surprised Dad and all his co-workers and they enjoyed the treat. 40 Years is a long time and I give my Dad all the respect in the world to give that much hard work and dedication to Bahls, he deserves the biggest Thank You ever! Thank you for working so hard to give us girls everything we needed and Thank you for being so dedicated and having such great work ethic. Thank you Dad! You are the greatest and I love you very much! You and Mom are awesome!!

Between Donuts and Pizza today, we went to visit Great Grandma Nicolai. She was happy to see us.

Friday I took Peyton to see the baby swans at the park in Cannon Falls, she loved them. I sat her next to them to take a couple of pictures, she thought it was great until the swan reached thru the fence and nipped her little toe. She wasn't too sure about that!

Saturday, Cam pulled in Clayton, WI. He got 4th in the Light Class and 1st Place in the Heavy Class. He pulled in the rain, it was kind of fun, Peyton had a blast. She loves the trucks. We had deep fried Oreos and they were delicious. We wait every year for Clayton to get the deep fried Oreos. I only had 2, I was a good girl.

Sunday for Fathers Day Peyton gave Cam his gift and then we went out for dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Berg. Peyton had Cam's helmet custom painted for Fathers Day and she got him a couple of tools and some welding glasses. She spoiled him. He was a very proud Dad yesterday, as he is every day.

So Big!

Peyton is doing the "So Big" trick by herself now. When I say "So Big" she raises her hands as high as they can possibly go! It is really cute. Grand Ma Peggy taught her that trick! Check out this picture of her, I have been avoiding the Nuk whenever I can, just to get her used to going without it. I took it away from her while she was playing the other day and then walked into the kitchen to do some cleaning. I caught her crawling out of the living room and into the kitchen with the top of her Tupperware Kool Aid pitcher in her mouth. Creative and smart little girl, she improvised and made her own Nuk!

We pulled in Taylor, WI on Friday night. This isn't a very good picture, I took it at like 11 PM, the pull went pretty late. Peyton absolutely loves going to the pulls. Cam got 2nd place in the light and heavy class. The truck is still in one piece ~ Way To Go Cam ~ all that hard work paid off over the last couple of weeks. Last night we walked down to the bus to grab a couple of things and Peyton went crazy, she wanted to get in the bus to go pulling. I think we definitely have a motor head on our hands. My goal in the next couple of weeks is to get a picture of the bus and loaded trailer posted, I completely forgot to take one last weekend and then when I remembered........it was way too dark outside. We seen our Friends the Olson's and the Shaw's at the pull too, it was nice to catch up with them. Peyton got busted sharing some ice cream with her Grandpa Berg at the pull, they were off under a tree, but we found them! Clayton, WI on Saturday the 14th!
