Happy 1ST Birthday POOT!!

Happy Birthday Peyton
~ One Year Old ~
Happy Birthday Peyton!! I cannot believe a year has already passed. You have grown so much. You have learned so much. It feels like just yesterday I was waking up your Dad to go to the hospital and we finally got to meet you at 6:31 am, your tiny little hands and feet, your perfect little cry and beautiful dark hair. Oh, those eyes, we got to see your gorgeous eyes right away, you were ready to conquer this new world. I can't imagine a day going by without seeing your smiling face and sense of humor. Happy Birthday Baby!
We love you, Mom & Dad

Here is a video of her last Sunday, the 24th, almost walking.

And then on Tuesday the 26th, her very first steps. You can hear my excitement.

Now she is walking a lot more than crawling. It is amazing how quickly they learn and seeing the excitement in their eyes when they figure all this neat stuff out.

We went to the nursing home in CF to celebrate Grandpa Nicolai's birthday. Grandma was throwing the party for him. It was nice to see all of the family. Here is a picture of Peyton and her Great Grandpa Nicolai sharing frosting off the cake on his Birthday. She was putting her fingers in the frosting and then feeding it to Grandpa, he would lick it off her fingers. It was so precious that I missed the photo op!!

Grandpa had to get on the floor to try out his new shoe horn from Julie and her family.

Peyton with her Great Grandpa and Grandma Nicolai and Grandma Peggy.

Do you want some sweet corn??

Happy Birthday Peyton, Grandpa Nicolai, and Gina!!

I still have to post pics of Peyton's racing weekend with Gina too!!

Have a great Labor Day weekend!

Walking.....Yes Indeed

Okay - She is Walking!! Tuesday night the 26th were the first series of steps she took. I have a short video but haven't had time to download it to my PC yet.
Peyton went with Grandma, Grandpa and Gina to Topeka, KS for the NHRA Races (Gina was racing) and she had a blast. On Friday my Mom called me at work to let me know that she went potty on the toilet! And now yesterday (Wed) the 27th, she went poop on the toilet! Okay, that seems to soon but I am certainly not complaining. Holy cow!
Cam and I went on a date Friday night and pulling Saturday night since Peyton was in another state with her racing family. Cam was a little worried she would come home covered in NHRA or Drag Racing gear!!
Peyton turns 1 on Saturday!! Already! Seems like just yesterday I was waking Cam up to go to the hospital and now a year has passed!

Peyton is all proud on Grandma's Fat Boy!

She takes the DVD's off of the shelf and piles them up to be able to reach the stuff on the shelf! Stinker!!

Mmmmmm.........sweet corn!! Do you want some!

Nice and pretty in her dress waiting for me to get ready for church.

I told you she is taking after the dog....right!?? Here she is putting the dice back in her mouth. She picks it up off of the floor with her mouth and then plays with her toys with this in her mouth. I guess Petie is her mentor for the time being!!

Grand Prize Winner!

Today I found out that Peyton was the Grand Prize winner in her photographer's contest. Check out the website www.aftonwoods.com, now Peyton has a nice amount of money to spend on photos there! Thank you to everyone who voted!!
Last weekend we went to the Chicken BBQ in Randolph. Peyton had her first ear of corn and did pretty good with it, she didn't make a huge mess like I expected. We also went to the truck pull in Pepin, WI. She loves the pulls. When I wasn't watching she would grab my cheek and turn it toward the truck that was pulling. She was pretty much telling me to pay attention!! She stands up and waves her arms every time a truck pulls. Sunday she got to sit on my Mom's Harley. She loved it. I took a couple of pictures, I will have to post them later.
She isn't walking yet, but geez she is close. She almost took a step on her own last night but then decided to grab my leg instead.
Mark your calendar's!!!
Peyton's 1st Birthday is the 30th of this month. We are celebrating on September 1st around 2 to 4 pm'ish. We will BBQ brats and burgers.
October 11th is the big Hog Roast!! We would have done it on the 4th (since that is our anniversary) but Rodney Carrington is coming to the Island on the 4th and we can't miss that show!! So the Hog Roast is the 2nd weekend of October this year.
Till Next Time!!

Dennison Days and Family Reunion

Oh My She Loves the Pull Truck. Once I put her in it she refused to get out.

Last Saturday Cam pulled in Dennison during Dennison Days. Here is a video I took of him on my digital camera. When he got to the end I was too close and I couldn't tape very well. Anyway, as promised, I did a video of the pull. Holy Dusty!! She was a dry track!

We also went to a family reunion on the Berg side. It was Larry's mother's side of the family. Here is a picture of Peyton having some cake at the reunion.

I am also posting a picture of Larry with his brothers and sisters. But first, look at this mans body language. Can you feel the love! I can see it, that is for sure! Peyton and Grandpa Larry. She points and he walks.

Minnesota Zoo

Friday my mom had the day off, so Kelly took Peyton to the MN Zoo with her kids and a couple of her friends and their kids. Peyton had a great day, I can tell by all of the fabulous pictures Kelly took of the kids. They all had a blast.

Emma and Megan are so good to Jo and Peyton - I love this picture of them. Kelly you can take pictures of Peyton whenever you want, I love your pictures!

Peyton and Jo are checking out the fish and dolphins.

Kelly took pictures of Megan walking Peyton all the way around this fountain. I love every picture, especially the one of the back side of them!

These pictures are priceless!! Kelly I hope you don't mind that I am posting them! (I mailed you the disk today) It isn't fair that I get to post your pictures before you do!! But I had to do it!

Wore out and the day was only half done!

After the zoo Kelly took the girls to the Aquatic Park and they all played in the water for a couple hours. Peyton loved the water. She would crawl in the shallow water and she was having a hard time figuring out why on earth her hand wasn't stopping at the water, it would go through the water to the bottom of the pool. She was figuring things out. She likes the fountains too, she had a good time. Any day with her cousins is a good day. I do not have a swimsuit for Peyton, Kelly brought an extra one with her. Thank goodness!

She tried to eat the water coming out of the fountain. I stopped to pick her up after work and I couldn't resist getting in the water with her. She was too cute!
