Have you ever.....

Have you ever wanted to be your Mom?

Have you ever wanted to dance as good as everyone else?

Have you ever been on the starting line with over 2,000 ponies yelling at you?

Have you ever swept the table clean just to do your thing?

Have you ever took a walk in your siblings shoes?

Have you ever made a change that made you feel like a whole new person?
Have you ever had something just inches within reach?

Have you ever hand fed an animal?
Have you ever had a simple hug make you feel so good?

Have you fulfilled any of your childhood dreams?

Have you ever just let loose and had fun?

Have you met your challenge head on?

Have you ever fulfilled a 2nd childhood dream?

Have you ever wondered "how in the world" and tried to figure it out?
Have you ever enjoyed something so much that you couldn't imagine it any other way?

Have you ever danced in the rain?

Have you ever told someone you love them just because you want them to know?

Have you ever thanked someone for holding the door for you?

Have you ever held on to something that you shouldn't?

Have you ever forgave someone for making a mistake?

Have you ever wandered back and realized how lucky you really are?

Have you ever shown appreciation for those that helped you along the way?

Have you ever had breakfast in bed? (Me neither, the dog ate it)

Instead of wishing you could be in someone else's shoes all your life.....

Enjoy the life you have.....

We all spend too much time comparing ourselves to our neighbors and our peers, we forget how good we really have it and we miss the opportunity to enjoy every moment.

Live in the moment, it may be your last.

Don't worry about what they are doing.
Put your efforts into yourself.

You may be surprised with the results.

She says she is BORED!

Since the oatmeal was put out of reach, DJ found the next best thing to spread out all over the kitchen.....bread crumbs!
Getting ready to go to work in Daddy's boots.

Looking at little wore out, those boots must be heavy.

"Mom, I really am sick of that snow"
"I want to go pulling and to see monster trucks and to the beach to cool off in the water"
We did our best with a bath "pool" party.

DJ danced and laughed and clapped and cheered at the Sesame Street Live show.

DJ couldn't resist Peyton's froggy boots.

Is that Cam's Kid under that hat?

Oh, that is my kid in that shirt!

Playing school, at home.

Hey Cowboy!
We went to Oscars for breakfast last weekend.
DJ was snuggling up to Cam.
The waitress (hottie) thought that was kind of cute.
Cam says "Hey Baby" and nods.
DJ says "Hey Baby"
So DJ's first two words together were: Hey Baby!
Really, is this what I have to look forward to?
I will admit, it was cute as ever, and everyone did hear it and enjoyed it.
But, really, "Hey Baby", Ugh.

"Post something new to your Blog. I am Bored"

That is the email I got today while I stopped at my desk for a five minute break from budget meetings, open enrollment meetings, stolen trailer meetings, FSA meetings, HSA meetings, high deductible health insurance meetings and payroll company meetings, oh, yeah, four-o-one kay meetings too. Ha, I just had to spell 401k out because that is the kind of strange frustrating silly day I had today.

5 am - alarm goes off

5:30 am - alarm goes off for the 3rd time

6:20 am - okay, I guess I better stop hitting the snooze button

6:40 am - I have 10 minutes to do my hair, get Peyton's packpack ready for school, wake the kids up, get them ready and out the door, oh crap, gotta make Cam's lunch too.

6:45 am - Snuggle Cam in an effort to get him to wake up, rubbed his back for five minutes and his feet for two minutes, now I am really going to be late

7:10 am - Cam helps get the kids ready, and out the door we go. 20 minutes behind schedule

7:35 am - Drop Peyton off at school in tears, ):

7:50 am - Drop DJ off with Bullet, happy as can be (;

8:15 am - arrive at work, 15 minutes late, everyone is too busy to notice, whew

8:15 am to 10:00 am - listen to co-worker yell across the room with a mouth full of her breakfast. Cringing the entire time

10:00 am - question another co-worker about the post office, she straight up lies to me to cover her butt. Really cringing and kind of aching in frustration.

10:10 am - snap at another co-worker out of frustration - apologize immediately

10:15 am - apologize again for snapping

10:30 am - Prep for meetings to intro the high deductible health insurance plan with HSA to employee's.

11:30 am - Go to lunch, treat myself to a cheese burger from DQ!!

11:35 am - realize that the cheeseburger is really a NACHO cheeseburger. AAAAAHHHHH! That is like going to the bakery for a Custard Donut and Getting JELLY!!!!

That is just till Noon, you can just about imagine the rest of the day.

Dear Friend ~

I am posting to my blog tonight, while supper is on the stove, DJ is emptying ALL of the books from the bookshelf and Peyton is telling him to stop or she will spank him. Oh, now she is helping him remove the books. But, it is very much worth it to get this blog updated. I know that someday my kids will enjoy looking back at this and I should really be better about updating it more often so there is never a void in those little lives of theirs. I truly appreciate the reminder. Now, as for your being bored, thank you for pointing that out, I will be sure to send you plenty of work so we do not have to worry about you accidentally closing your eyes for fifteen minutes and catching the winks of sleep that I desperately need on days like this. I hope you are laughing out loud at your desk while you read this because you know that I am going to do it all over again tomorrow. An update on the kids, DJ has now emptied ALL of the stuffed animals onto the floor too, so now I think every inch of the carpet is covered. Back to you, so what is the plan for this weekend? Do you want to go to the Zoo? I was thinking about taking the kids to the Zoo on Saturday afternoon, you know, burn off some energy and maybe see how well mannered the animals are vs. The Boy and The Girl. Oh no! Petie is eating the play doh the kids forgot to put away, thank you so much for giving them the play doh, they really do love it, but they aren't very good at putting it away. Did you know that Cam sent in that kit we talked about a week ago, hopefully we will know something within a week or two, answer a lot of questions, I hope. You know that I love you, even though when under the influence you tend to beat me up. I don't think I am going to proof this letter either, I just wunged it. Till next time, remember that I love you and I don't know what I would do without you. Thank you for being you. You put a smile on my face even when I am drowning at my desk.

Have a great day~ Erica

Peyton - sleeping, we thought!

Hah! She fooled us!

Haven't laughed that hard in a while.
(PS Friend: I did spell check this post and it didn't recognize "wunged", you win, I surrender)

Christmas ~ Berg Style

Ho Ho Ho ~ Merry Christmas!
Bryce got a big chunk of coal, that lucky guy!
Santa visited with gifts for everyone.

Peyton was shocked when she answered the door
She turned to Cam and whispered
"It's SAAAAANNNNNTTTTAAAA!!!!"

All but 1 of Rita's great grand kids ~ Jo was a little shy
They all have red-eye in this picture
I didn't fix it, it is kind of fitting for the rest of the Regenscheid pictures.
The devil in them all. No, not literally, but they are all devious.

~Cold Hard Evidence~
DJ ~ Caught red handed with the Gingerbread man, which appears to be missing a chunk from his head, a juice bag in the other hand and headed for the tractor to escape to privacy. Peyton and her goofy cousins, making faces for the family picture of Rita's Great Grandchildren.
You will see in a later picture where they get it from.

Her first dance recital.

The artist with the Gingerbread man before he was cookie-napped.

Making puppy chow with Grandma Lois.
Celebrating Christmas with my family is the best.
I couldn't ask for better people in my life.

A snowy evening at home.
Yes, the snow was covering the lights on my fence.

Yahoo!! I got a new tractor for Christmas!
I am the king of the world!

Peyton went on the kids shopping spree at the library this year.
She picked out gifts for the whole family.

Bullet and her kissing Harley riders.

The Regenscheids.

Now really......
They are all goofy and their kin isn't too far behind them.
We all have fun.
How many families do you know that can still take a family picture like this??
Not many!
They all look like they are having a good time and they are standing next to each other!

Grandpa Doc ~ Showing us how it is done.

DJ doing his best to do the same.

Again ~ I love all of my family.
What a great Christmas.
Thank you for sharing it with me.

A Day In The Life of The Berg's

A summary of my evening:

7:45 pm enter driveway - oops - wait........ stop short of driveway, realize that the drift is a high as my door, backup, give er' all you got......made it.

7:50 pm park in garage - shovel snow away from doorway so the door shuts completely

8:00 pm finally got the kids to put their jackets back on - make the trek to the house

8:10 pm get all outdoor clothing off of kids

8:15 pm go to bedroom to change my pants which are soaking wet from walking through the deep snow

8:17 pm walk into kitchen to find the 2 "To Go" boxes of Mexican spread out all over the table, chairs and kitchen floor. Dog's eatin' good now. Rice...Beans...Enchilada's and Chicken Strips.

8:20 pm Whew! Got that mess cleaned up, even off the brand new clothes I just bought as Christmas gifts for Cam

8:21 pm Walk to freezer to pull out pork chops for Cam's supper

8:22 pm walk into kitchen to find the huge glass of chocolate milk spilled all over the counter, stove, down the cupboards and on the floor.....ooh it is seeping under the stove

8:25 pm got the milk cleaned up, take the towels to the wash machine

8:26 pm walk back into the kitchen to find the tub of oatmeal (about 20 cups worth) pulled from the cupboard and all over the newly cleaned kitchen floor

8:30 pm got the oatmeal cleaned up, got the pork chops started on the stove

8:32 pm - DJ is crying - he crapped his pants!

8:35 pm - okay kids, come get in the bath - Peyton says she will take a bath later

8:36 pm - start the bath water, DJ is taking his clothes off

8:37 pm - shut the TV off so Peyton will come take a bath

8:38 pm - notice that DJ has thrown about 20 wash clothes in the tub of water

8:39 pm - put DJ in the bath and then start the process with Peyton

8:50 pm - take kids out of the bath - Peyton won't stopping running naked in circles until I push the red button - okay I pushed the button - No, Mom, that was the green one, push the red one - okay Peyton - I pushed the button - No, Mom that was the yellow one - Sidenote - Dear God help me to read my child's imagination, I can't find the red button. She stops and says "I'm chilly". Well - put some clothes on!

9:00 pm - finish up the pork chops and potatoes, open up some green beans.

9:05 pm - kids are fighting over the bowl of green beans

9:10 pm - Call Cam to see if he is done plowing snow yet - yep - whew he will be home in 10 minutes

I will spare you the next hour and a half.

5:00 am - wake up to go to the bathroom - step in puddle of water, rugs are soaked - Here goes another day in the life of the Berg's.

FYI: These pictures aren't from last night, these are about a week old. They were swimming in the oatmeal that day.
Also - I gave Cam the Mexican scented clothes last night rather than wrapping them for Christmas - gotta find something else for Cam for Christmas.
And people wonder why my house is messy or why I can't get anything done!

November Fun

November Fun Times

Cam and I took Peyton to the Monster Trucks at the Metrodome

Here is what Peyton thought of the show

Plugging her ears for some of the loud ones during freestyle

Dennis Anderson was there, whew, I love Dennis Anderson

Cam's fave truck, since Bigfoot doesn't run this circuit
We went to cut down our tree the Sunday after Thanksgiving
Peyton pulled the cart for the tree until we found the perfect tree
Ooh, here it is. Peyton got down on the ground and looked at the trunk, yep, it is straight.
Give her all you got Cam!

Presto! We have a tree!
We put the tree up and within minutes DJ was pulling the bulbs off of the tree and saying "Ball!" and throwing it. So the decorations were all moved to the 2 foot and above level. Then about 30 minutes later, Peyton was on the couch and just dove into the tree, literally, dove into the tree. She was getting away from the monsters on the couch!
So, my perfect tree now has decorations only on the top half and a big open area where Peyton dove into it.

DJ's first time wearing his snow boots.

Peyton got a little mad at Cam on the way home the other night. She picked up her pretend phone and told Cam he was going to jail.

Peyton: Hello - Police - My Daddy was Naughty - You need to take him to jail

She hung up and told Cam - that's it, your going to jail!

Blue Thunder getting some nice air time.

Nice Save for Avenger!

Nice Save for Dennis Anderson in Grave Digger!

Wow, in two days, it will be December.

I have all my shopping done for the two families we are sponsoring in Wanamingo this year.

I have most of my shopping done for the family too.

What is wrong with me?

Looking forward to enjoying the Christmas Season.

Fa La La La La!
