And then I let Cam have the camera

Friday night we pulled in Ellsworth, WI ~ One Hook ~ 3rd Place

I tried taking some pictures rather than video this time. I didn't do so good, I hate taking action shots. I am going to have to sweet talk Kelly into taking pictures at the pull in Cannon for me, she is much better at that.
This is Joel Zimmerman's hook in Ellsworth.

This is Cam's hook in Ellsworth.
Too far away, then I missed 1/2 the truck and then I was too close. Ugh!!!
Why is it that I can at least get 1/2 way decents pic's of other people and never of Cam??
So Cam seen the terrible job I did and said he would take pictures in Tomah. This is what I got when I downloaded the pictures today.

Delton ~ Eating
Hmmm ~ Not Trucks.
Best of All

Surely this isn't trucks either. Funny ~ must of been so worked up he didn't realize he was taking a video rather than a picture. Guess this won't be a poster on his wall.

These poor girls started taking thier tops off later that evening and were escorted out by the police along with a ticket. Cam said they should've been at Country Fest instead. But I guess at Tomah there was a lot more male attention.

Here is Peyton in Ellsworth, hanging out the bus window. Both Grandpa Larry and Peyton had thier heads out the window and I missed the picture. She did "Thumbs Up" too and I missed the picture. Guess Cam should have had the Camera.

This weekend we have the Cannon 4th of July Parade and then we pull at the fair on Sunday.

Happy Father's Day Dad's!!

Cam had a good Father's Day.....I think.
We went to the Back to the 50's Car Show on Sunday. Peyton gave Cam the Jamey Johnson CD, which is exactly what he asked for. Well he got a hug, kiss and "I Love You" from her too.

We had to pull over for a messy diaper - she does that at the worst times! Here I am buckling her back in and she wants her "Corn" now!! She is smiling saying "Open, Please, Corn"
She got her "Corn". Speaking of bad timing. Friday night at the pull Lois was holding her and said "I think she has a messy diaper" so me being the person I am took 1 finger to pull the back of the diaper open to check - EEW! Fingertip full of the stuff!! It was right up there! Dangit! Lois said "you should have listened to me". Cam was about to pull, so Peyton had to wait 5 minutes to get that one changed. And I dealt with a stinky finger for 5 minutes longer than I wanted to. Weeds simply take away the physical site of it, they certainly don't take away the smell!!
We pulled in River Falls, WI on Friday night.
1 - 1st, 2 - 2nd's and 1 - 3rd
We pulled in Clayton, WI on Saturday night.
1 - 1st, 1 - 2nd and 2 - 3rd's
Once again, it was a good weekend of pulling. Nothing broke - knock, knock (that is me knocking on wood). A couple of Cam's co-workers were at each of the pulls, hopefully they stayed long enough to see him kick butt in the Heavy class!

Cam bought Peyton a new jacket at the car show. It is a little big for her but she likes it and it will fit her for a couple years along with making a good hand-me-down for the little brother.

Here is the donkey - driving the pull truck in River Falls. Those of you that remember the post from Cam's bday, this is his "ass".

This weekend we pull on Friday night in Ellsworth, WI.

Saturday we are spending the day in Tomah, WI - spectating. Peyton will be with Grand Ma Peggy, Grandpa Doc and Gina at Ayla's graduation ~ swimming in the pool.

Our next daytime pull, I promise to take some action pictures to post. All I do now is video tape and we need to get some photo's for the sponsors.

Jake's truck made it into the Shell Rotella Calendar!! Along with Brad's too!

Brad's truck got Best of Show

Jakes truck got Best of Show Runner-Up!

They cleaned house.

Like I said to Cam

"Jake was up there looking over that show with Bette Garber, betting on which trucks were going to get picked next"

Till Next Time!!

Just a Nice Relaxing Weekend

Finally! My Iris' have bloomed, this was a great day for me. I have been patiently waiting for them to bloom.
Last weekend we didn't go pulling, is was just a nice relaxing weekend.
Saturday - Lois surprised Cam and I with a couple hours of watching Peyton, which became the whole day. Okay, sounds weird, I know, but I got to DRIVE the lawn mower for the first time in 2 years!! I was SO excited. I sprayed the entire yard for weeds while Cam sprayed the woods for the poison ivy/oak and rag weeds. After that I washed my car and then Cam's Ranger and YES it felt good to be able to do these things. Cam took me to the movie Hungover to end the evening, it was a great day.
Then to top off the weekend we took Peyton to the MN Zoo on Sunday and then put out her pool when we got home. What a great weekend!

"Whoa MaMa, that teddy bear is big and it moves!"

"Birdie"

This Birdie was as big as she is.
Pool time fun.

She loved the water, till she took her shoes off and slipped and fell. It took her a little bit of time to warm back up to the idea after being submerged in the water.

Funny thing, she is wearing a 2 piece and she kept pulling the top down to cover her Belly. Nothing like me, yeah right, I hate showing my belly.
Monday night, Cam did a little maintenance on the bus. Peyton was playing inside the bus, I walked in on her holding her baby singing "Rock a Bye Baby" just swaying her hips back and forth. I have to get that on video. It was too cute.
Jake's truck is at the Rotella show, hoping to make the calendar. Good Luck Guys!!
We pull Friday night in River Falls, WI and then Saturday night in Clayton, WI and then Sunday we are off to the "Back to the 50's" car show. Jam packed weekend!
Nicolai Racing is headed for Byron, IL this weekend ~ Good Luck Gina!!

First Salon Hair Cut

So last Thursday I was in one of those moods and decided Peyton needed a haircut. Mom was already headed out of town so I started calling salons and we found one! This is actually Peyton's 4th haircut. My mom has cut it 3 times already!! What kid at 21 months has had 4 haircuts! Geez!

She did good, better than I thought. She sat still and just watched. She didn't seem scared but she certainly wasn't excited either.

Friday I had the day off so I went to the doctor for an OB checkup and we left town early for a pull. I am at 30 weeks today, however, I measure about 30 1/2 weeks. My blood pressure and pulse were high, so now they are watching that. They tested me for preclampsia and that was negative. I think this kid is just going to be a pain in my side, like his Daddy!!

Interesting enough, the doc asked if I had any lower back pain at all. I said, nope...none!! And then on the way to the pull that evening my lower back hurt so bad I couldn't move!! The stinker was pushing on my psychotic nerve (at least that is what I am calling it!). Holy smokes that is debilitating!! I didn't have that at all with Peyton. It took about 3 days to be able to move somewhat normal. Hope that doesn't happen again.

Anyway, I am 50% effaced (spelling?), so I guess this is actually coming soon.

I went to buy him a "coming home" outfit yesterday, found nothing. Now I know what all you mom's mean when you say there is nothing for boys. I bought 2 onsies, his first clothing I have for him, one says "Daddy and I Agree, Mommy's the Boss" the other says "I may be little but I am tough". They were clearanced so I couldn't resist. Cam doesn't like the first one. He disagrees.
After the doctor's office I went to the grocery store to get some snacks. I was at home packing for our overnight stay in WI and Peyton was in the kitchen coloring. Well...I thought she was coloring. Suddenly it got really quiet. She usually sings pretty loudly when she is coloring. I walked out of the bedroom to see why it was so quiet to find her digging into the snacks for pulling. She helped herself to a Mini Strawberry Shortcake. When I caught her, she was on the frosting of the 3rd cake, licking her fingers saying "MMMMmmmmm". I gave her one of them and left the other 2 frostingless cakes for Cam for later.

Notice Petey patiently waiting in the corner of the picture for any stranded crumbs.
So we pulled in Cumberland, WI last Friday. Took home 3 first place finishes and a 2nd place finish. The best pull out of the 4 was 343' to 341', Cam took it by 2 feet! That was an awesome pull.

This weekend there is a pull in Stanley, WI, it isn't a points pull for us, so I think we are skipping it. Maybe taking Peyton to the zoo on Sunday instead.

Nicolai Racing is heading back to Joliet, IL - Good Luck Gina!!

Daddy's Girl

Last weekend we pulled in Roberts, WI (4 classes, 1 1st and 3 2nd's) and Eleva, WI (1 class, 4th). When Cam was loading the truck on Saturday morning, I had Peyton in the house yet, I was starving and tried to sit down with a bowl of cereal to feed her growing baby brother.
She heard the pull truck start, hopped off my lap, grabbed me by the shirt and started angrily pulling me toward the door.
She thought Daddy was leaving for pulling without her!
It was cute.
In these pictures she had her sippy cup, a brat and camera in her arms. I gave her the food, for her to eat. She loaded up and headed for Dad. Evidently she thought her Dad needed to eat.

Cam bought Peyton this shirt in Tomah last year, it is just starting to fit her. She points at the trucks and says "trucks" the only one she calls "pull truck" is her Dads.

When Cam is pulling she cheers for him: "Go Daddy Go Daddy Go".

She knows when it is him pulling up to the line, it is pretty cute. Those 2 have been inseparable lately, I suppose that is a good thing with the newbie arriving soon.

This Friday we pull in Cumberland, WI. Saturday we are going to watch in Ellsworth, WI.

Nicolai Racing had an awesome weekend too! Won 5 rounds at the O'Reilly NHRA Nationals in Topeka, KS over the weekend. She went out in the semi-finals!! That is something to brag about! For sure!! You know how cool it is to see your sisters name on NHRA.com with (W) next to it!!! Pretty cool, no....... WAY COOL!!!

They are off to Joliet, IL this weekend. Go Gina!!!!
