Santa

We went to the bank last weekend and SURPRISE! Santa was there. I didn't know it. Peyton was so excited, we walked in and she was sleeping, by the time I set her down to take her jacket off she was wide eyed and whispering "santa claus". She was amazed, it was really him. Of course, she stiffened like a rock when I tried to put her on his lap!!
DJ had his 4 month appointment last week. He weighs 18 lb s 13 oz. 26" long.

He is in the 97th percentile for weight and 85th percentile for height. The doctor said "he is a 4 month old in a 9 month old body"! My little "spud" or "sprout" whichever you want to call him.

Christmas at Grandma Regenschieds this Sunday, can't wait for that yummy dinner.

Singing and Laughing

Here is Peyton singing Happy Birthday to her Daddy, till she realized I started taking a video and she changed it to Mommy. Cam's Birthday was Nov 21, so she has birthday on the brain.

Peyton loves to sing, she loves cartoons now too. For so long I couldn't get her to watch 15 minutes of TV so I could shower and now all I hear is "Turn my cartoons on" or "Daddy turned my cartoons off!"

I drove thru town Tuesday night and Peyton said "Look at em all Mom, look at em". What on earth??? "Kissmass Lights Mommy" "Santa Claus" "Lots of em" She loves the lights this year, I am really going to enjoy Christmas with her this year.

DJ is laughing and talking so much, it still amazes me how much they learn, grow and change every day. He will be 4 months tomorrow! Already. He pulls himself up if you have him reclined back, trying to sit up to see everything. Strong little guy.

The Berg Christmas is this Sunday, looking forward to seeing all of the family.

With any luck, we will be cutting down the Christmas tree on Saturday.

Cherish every moment as if it were your last.

I can do it myself

Give me that thing, I can do it myself!

I don't care how many towels you put around me, there will still be milk in my neck, but I can do this myself, leave me alone!

Eating Sweet Corn with Grandma and Gina on Saturday.

Lois threw a baby shower for Landon and DJ. This was one of the games we played. Holding a phone and a baby (gorilla) you had to hang as many diapers on the clothes line as possible, within 1 minute. We had a good time.

Thank you to everyone who came and all the wonderful gifts, I can't believe the generosity.
Thank you!!
Go Shirley, Go!

Last Saturday Mom, Gina and I took the kids and went to pick up the info for the families we are helping out this Christmas and then of course we went to the Harley dealer and then the mall, we had a fun day together.

Saturday night we went to a "final, final" at the Eilens, he touched so many lives, there were quite a few people there.
Rest in Peace Jake - We all miss you so much.

Here are a couple of DJ's 3 month pictures, and the family pic is a bonus.

These pictures scanned darker than the actual picture. The color must be funny in the scanner or something.

Yes, my 3 month old is wearing a 6-9 month outfit.
Peyton fell down right after this picture, so after this one, she didn't trust that white sheet behind her so this is the only shot of the 2 of them together.
A good family pic, again, this is really dark compared to the real thing. Oh well.
Thanksgiving this week! Already!
Friday Shopping, I am starting my game plan already!
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, I hope you are all able to spend it with family.

DJ's Baptism

Let's Go! I'm Ready!
Hmm.....is he saying that I am God's child?? Or something??

Is this over yet??

Look at me! Do I look any different? I feel different, my head is wet!

Last Sunday DJ was baptised and then 32 of our family members joined us at Papa's in Kenyon for brunch.

Even Peyton put a dress on for the occassion.

It was a very nice day and even his Great Grandpa Nicolai showed up. He was just days out of surgery but still didn't miss it. What a wonderful man.
You know, last night I was making supper in the kitchen with a chair pulled up to the counter where Peyton stood to do "dishes" and help cook supper. While Peyton and I were cooking, I could hear Cam in the living room with DJ, they were having a conversation and it sounded like DJ was winning. (He is talking so much, it is adorable). All I could think to myself while making dinner was "Does it get any better than this?"
Really, the days fly by.

Happy Wall O Heen!

Happy Hall O Ween is how it was originally said by Peyton till she got excited.

Peyton picked out the Cowgirl/Horse costume a month before Halloween and I guess she started to get bored with it by Halloween because she started telling me "she don't want it", so I went to Target and picked up this Pirate costume for six bucks as a back up. She wore the Pirate costume and then put the horse on for 5 minutes at each place we stopped, good thing we only stopped at 4 places!

I am a little behind on posting and a little behind at work, I guess work comes first.
Still waiting on pic's of DJ in his Devil costume, I think Gina has some on her camera.
Daniel was baptised this weekend. I will get pic's up soon.
Next weekend is a baby shower for Brittany and I.
Weekend after that is Cam's Bday, Christmas Adopt A Family Day and a Party for Jake.
Following weekend - Thanksgiving
Following Weekend - Berg Christmas
YES it is right around the corner!!
Till next time.

Baking Apple Pie

"My chair Mommy, help you, cookin' App-po pie"
Peyton filled the measuring cups with flour for the crust.

She attempted to clean up her messes.
"Makin a mess Mommy"

Look how proud she is!

Last weekend I made 4 more Apple Pies, with Peyton's assistance, we got it done. Whew, I got all the apples off of our trees used up, between pies and apple sauce, we are stocked.

Even Petie helped out with the floor clean up. Note the flour on his nose.

Smile DJ!

Don't stick out your tongue, smile!!

Thank you for smiling.

Baby DJ had a 102.3 temp last Friday, to the clinic we went.
Lungs - clear, ears - clear, throat-clear, blood test - clear, urine test - clear. If the fever continues bring him back tomorrow and we will do a spinal tap and chest x-rays.
What!? What was going on with my baby, they already plucked his heel for blood and put a catheter in and bagged him to collect urine. This child is going to get better because I can't deal with a spinal tap!!
Prayers answered, fever reduced. He was 104.1 Friday night so I prayed and prayed he would get better, I didn't want to take him in again. Well by Saturday night we were checking out Ruby Tuesday and Nick Universe with friends. Peyton and DJ in tow. He was better!! Thank you God for listening to me.

Cam and I are in the back on the left, Will and his son Ian are in the front on the right.

This ride was a blast, seriously, the entire ride was fun, not just the plunge, the whole thing was good. Peyton went crazy, she wanted to go on the roller coasters too! She is going to be like me, I love roller coasters. This, believe it or not, was Cam's first roller coaster ride ever, EVER! He loved it. I am glad I finally, after 15 years, got him to go on one with me. Thanks Will and Peggy for the peer pressure. I would have never got him to do this without you!!

Congrat's to my niece Brittany, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy on Wednesday Oct 28th. Six pounds 14 oz. - 20 inches long - Landon Joseph. He is adorable, wide awake and alert too! Must be all that Mountain Dew she drank!!
Happy Halloween to all. Peyton is practicing saying
"tick or treat, cocolate"
"happy hall -oh - weeen"

A great weekend of Mommy and Me and Brodder

I got a steal on tickets for the Circus on Saturday, so Gina and I took Peyton and Jason & Casi's 3 kids to the Circus. I got a steal on Underwater World tickets for the MOA too, so we were going to stop there on the way.....well......Build A Bear Workshop looked fun too!

So we went to BABW and the Circus on Saturday. Peyton loved it. I was actually quite surprised in her interest in the whole day. I didn't think she would care that much.

We started the day at the BABW, Peyton picked out her first companion on her own. She picked the puppy, then the kitty, then a bear, then the moose, and then the monkey and ended back with the puppy. The whole experience was really cool, I will definitely take her back there.

The hand off of the puppy for stuffing.

Do what with the heart?

Rub it on your tummy so your puppy doesn't get hungry!!
In goes the heart.

In goes the heart.

Okay, hug him to be sure he feels just right.

Now she won't let go.

Puppy is dressed and ready to go to the Circus.

Forget Underwater World, we don't have time.

"ELLLL - EEEEE - FANT!!!!"

is what Peyton was screaming when the Elephant came out. She was on the edge of her seat the whole time. She took in every second. She was screaming and waving her arms and clapping and cheering. Wow, I never thought she would have been that excited.

Watching with amazement.

Cheering!

"Monkey - oooo oooo ahhh ahhh"

We almost made it out of the building and then she seen the Monkey!

Sunday we spent the day with Larry and Lois, we went to Rochester to a craft fair and then to Harmony and Lanesborough. It was a nice day. We shopped at some of the Amish shops, ate an authentic German lunch and spent money. It was a nice day, even though it was windy.

Happy 36th Anniversary Mom & Dad!!

We Love You Lots!!

Where's Peyton

The other night I put some of Grandma Peggy's chicken salad with grapes (grapes are important to Peyton) in a bowl for Peyton. She politely asked "Gapes, noodles, kicken - mommy" how could I resist that. I filled the bowl, gave it to her and walked away. Five minutes later, where is Peyton? Cam is on the phone with a pulling buddy, "Cam where is Peyton". Nobody knows. I get to the entry way and this is what I find.

She was half dressed for bed, but more importantly, she had "gapes, noodles and kicken" and Petie was tired so she sat by him, she shares the parts that she loses interest in.

A couple nights ago, I could hear her saying "paci, paci, paci mommy" finally I gave in and went to her. She was on her chair, at the table, tearing apart my purse looking for a pacifier.
Turd knows I keep backup in the purse.
She turns around with an unwrapped panti liner and says to me
"bann-aid for mommy's perty pants"
shaking her head with approval, in other words she is telling me what it is, not asking.
Wish I could have had that on video!
The hog roast was a huge success, thanks to everyone who came!
We had a great turn out, even with the cold weather.
Looking forward to next year.
This weekend - Shrine Circus, Build A Bear, Pumpkin Patch and Craft Shows.
Cam - pulling in Raleigh, North Carolina!
Mom and Kids are going to party.

My Babies

Daniel is 9 weeks already. Last week he had his 2 month check up and shots. He is 14 lbs 3 oz, 23" long. A big boy. He is in the 80-97th percentile in everything. He certainly will not be taking crap from anyone when that day comes.
He likes to hold onto something, here he is holding a blanket.

Talking.

I am putting 3 to 6 months clothing on him already. Three month is a bit small and 6 month is too big. He is smiling and coo'ing all the time. A very happy baby. He is happiest sitting up on the couch. He is also very happy in the morning, I get most of my conversations and smiles from him at about 6 am. Cam says, "he's not my kid" Cam is NOT a morning person at all.

Sleep, well, I am getting a 3 hour stretch once and then after that it is 2 hour increments. Better.

Peyton is Peyton, just a wonderful child. Tonight she is getting her flu shot, she will be mad at me for a day or two after tonight.
Check out my rooster flash light Mom (in other words, take a picture of me!)

Nothing too exciting to post, we spent last weekend getting stuff for the party this weekend. Our 6th Anniversary was Sunday, 15 years together, 6 of them are official. We went to Red Lobster on Saturday for a dinner date, it was nice and peaceful, even though we were surrounded by tables with kids, I now know what we look like when we have the kids along.

We are getting ready for the hog roast this weekend. There is a forecast of a wintery mix, thank goodness the garage is heated!!
Don't let the weather scare you! We have tons of food for the Hog Roast, stop out and say hello!!
The heat will be on in the garage and the food will be warm!
See you there!

Does she look like she is having fun? I don't know, I think it is questionable!!

Today Danny is 8 weeks old! Tonight we have his 8 week appointment and shots. I cannot believe he is already 8 weeks!! He is smiling and coo'ing quite a bit. These are the fun days, everyday you discover that he has discovered something new, whether it is something he can do or his surroundings, it will always put a smile on my face. Knowing this is quite possibly our last child, it is a little more emotional for me.

Peyton is learning everyday too. I can hold a complete conversation with her. Some of the words are gibberish yet, but I can pretty much get what she is saying. One night last week Cam & I were wrestling in the living room and Peyton was playing along until I pretended to get hurt. She looked at Cam, put her hand to his face and said "Daddy, Enough!"
She helped her Dad finish up her playground last weekend. She is the queen of the sandbox now, let me tell you!
Here she is helping Dad figure out the best place to position the handles to climb to the top.
Hmmm.......Slide looks good. Even tested it 100 times.

I have to get some more pictures of Danny up soon.
The Hog Roast is Saturday the 10th at 5 pm!!
See you and your family there!!
